About Aisha Mgeni
Aisha received her Master’s in psychological studies and educational specialist degree in marriage and family therapy from Seton Hall University in 2004. Since then, Aisha has worked in different facets of mental health including community mental health, domestic abuse, corrections, employee assistance program (EAP), student wellness programs, and cultural fluidity trainings with the city of Irvington, New Jersey.
Aisha specializes in working with couples, families, individuals, group, and children’s therapy. Specific areas of competency and interest include; trauma (complex), racial/historical trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-identity discovery, polyamorous/non-monogamous coupling, sexual health, and LGBTQIA. In addition to her clinical work, Aisha also specializes in aromatherapy, hypnotherapy, and energy work.
In her free time, Aisha enjoys baking, crocheting, and spending time with her daughter and other family.
